Mercury Systems rose in extended trading on Monday after the aerospace and defense company guided for upbeat earnings and revenue for the current quarter, while reporting higher-than-expected results for the most recent quarter. Shares increased more than 6%.
Adjusted EPS rose to $0.30 in the three months ended Dec. 31, from $0.23 a year earlier. Analysts had expected $0.25 on average, according to Capital IQ estimates. Q2 revenue rose to $98.0 million from $60.4 million. That topped the analyst consensus of $93.2 million.
Looking ahead to Q3, revenues are forecast to be in the range of $103 million to $107 million, and adjusted EPS is expected to be in the range of $0.29 to $0.32 per share. Analysts were looking for $96.3 million in revenue and $0.28 in earnings.
